A Bit About Myself
I have been with Norfolk Public Schools since 1995. I have been with the Special Education Department the entire time. I graduated from Central City High School in 1974. In 1978 I earned my BA degree in Special Education from Kearney State College. I earned my MAE in Instruction and Curriculum from Doane in 1999, I married my husband Gary in 1978. We have 2 grown boys, Nathan and Neil, who both live in Colorado. We love getting together with them as often as possible. We also have a grand puppy named Archer. I have taught in Germany, Ohio, and Hastings, NE, prior to moving to Norfolk. I owned and operated a licensed preschool and daycare for 10 years before returning to teaching when we moved to Norfolk. I love to travel, read, shop and watch movies in my spare time. Most of all, I LOVE teaching. Working with students who have autism has truly opened my eyes. They have taught me so much about unconditional love! I thank God every day for this wonderful job!!
